DMCA Takedown Notice
Last Updated: April 13, 2025
KpNotes (https://kpnotes.com) respects the intellectual property rights of others and complies with the provisions of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). We respond to valid infringement notices and take appropriate action, including removing or disabling access to allegedly infringing material.
1. Copyright and Educational Content
We understand that educational content such as notes, formulas, notations, and factual information may be similar across different platforms or institutions. As per copyright law, facts, ideas, systems, and methods of operation are not protected, and neither are short phrases or common academic notations.
Therefore, simple notations, standard derivations, or widely accepted academic formats cannot be copyrighted. While we aim to respect original expression, we do not consider material to be infringing solely due to similarity in factual or structural content unless there is clear evidence of copied original expression.
2. Reporting Copyright Infringement
If you believe that your original content (not general academic material) has been used without authorization, you may send us a written DMCA takedown notice including:
- Your full name, contact information, and a signature (electronic or physical)
- Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed
- The exact URL of the allegedly infringing material on our website
- A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use is unauthorized
- A statement under penalty of perjury that your notice is accurate and you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner
You can send the written notice to:
- Email: contact@kpnotes.com
- Subject Line: DMCA Takedown Request
3. Counter Notification
If you believe your content was wrongly removed, you may send a counter-notification including:
- Your contact details
- The URL of the material that was removed
- A statement under penalty of perjury that the material was removed by mistake
- A statement consenting to jurisdiction and accepting service of process
- Your signature
If your counter notice is valid, we may restore the content unless the original complainant takes legal action.
4. Repeat Infringers
KP Notes reserves the right to terminate accounts or access for users who are repeat infringers of copyright law.
