KP Notes provides Western letter notes for keyboard practice and Indian classical Sargam (swarlipi) for harmonium, flute (bansuri), and vocal riyaz.
Piano: Natural & Sharp Keys
Letters A–G correspond to white keys on a piano/keyboard. A sharp (#) means play the adjacent black key a semitone up.
Piano: Octave Markers
A plus (+) marks the higher treble octave (C+), while a minus (-) marks the lower bass octave (C-). Plain letters are in the middle octave.
Sargam: 7 Shuddha Swaras
Sa, Re, Ga, Ma, Pa, Dha, Ni form the foundational 7 pure notes (Bilawal thaat) for harmonium, bansuri flute, and vocal singing.
Sargam: Flat & Sharp Swaras
Underlined swaras (रे, ग, ध, नि) are Komal (flat). Teevra Madhyam is marked as म॑. Lower and higher saptak use dots below/above.
