This guide walks through how song requests work, what to do when a similar request already exists, and how to claim a song if you arrange notes yourself.
What is the KPNotes request board?
The Request Song Notes board is where learners ask for missing arrangements. Each request can include:
- Song title
- Artist or movie (optional but helpful)
- Format you need — piano letter notes, sargam, or chords
Other members can upvote requests so popular songs rise to the top. Contributors browse the board, claim a request for 14 days, and submit their arrangement for review.
How to request song notes (step by step)
- Search first. Use site search for the song, movie, or artist. If letter notes or sargam already exist, practice that page instead of opening a duplicate request.
- Open the request board. Go to kpnotes.com/request-notes/.
- Sign in with your free KPNotes account (same email works in the app).
- Post your request with a clear title (for example, “Kesariya — piano letter notes”). Add the movie or artist when you know it.
- Upvote similar open requests if the board suggests a match — that helps arrangers prioritize what learners want most.
When notes are published, the song page shows who arranged it. You can also follow community arrangers on the Contributors directory.
What happens after you request?
- Open — waiting for an arranger to claim.
- Claimed — someone is working on it (usually up to 14 days).
- Fulfilled — notes are live; the solver is credited on the song page.
Requests stay free. There are no cash bounties — recognition, portfolio credit, and trust tiers motivate contributors.

- Use the common song title people search for (avoid overly long YouTube titles).
- Say which format you need: piano letters, sargam, or chords.
- Mention the movie year if the song name is common.
- Do not request songs that already have a close match on the site — link that page to friends instead.
