KPNotes began as a catalog of piano letter notes and sargam for popular Hindi and Bollywood songs. It is also a community: learners ask for missing songs, arrangers share notes, and approved pages credit the person who arranged them.
Here is how the three community hubs fit together — and where to start.
1. Request notes — for learners
If a song is missing, open the Request Song Notes board. Post the title, upvote songs others want, and wait for an arranger to claim and publish.

2. Submit notes — for arrangers
If you write letter notes, sargam, or chords, use Submit notes. Editors review every submission before it goes live. Approved work shows Arranged by on the song page.

3. Contributors — for discovery
The Contributors directory lists community arrangers and people who solve popular requests. After you like a transcription, use it to find more songs by the same person.
Why this helps you practice
- No dead ends. If a song is not on the site yet, you can request it instead of giving up.
- New practice pages. When an arrangement is approved, it becomes a normal song page you can open anytime — including in the app.
- Clear credit. Arranged by and Solved by show who helped, so good work is easy to trust and follow.
- Recognition, not cash. Contributors join for bylines and portfolio growth — there are no paid bounties.
