How to Request Song Notes on KPNotes (Free Community Board)

3 min read

Looking for piano letter notes, flute or harmonium sargam, or chords for a song that is not on KPNotes yet? You can ask for it free on the community request board. When someone arranges it, the notes go live with their name on the page.

This guide shows how to post a request, what each status means, and how to arrange a requested song yourself if you play.

What the request board is for

The Request Song Notes board is a shared wishlist. Learners post songs they want to practice. Each request can include:

  • Song title
  • Artist or movie (helpful when the title is common)
  • Format you need — piano letter notes, sargam, or chords

Others can upvote so popular songs rise. Contributors claim a request (usually up to 14 days), submit notes, and our editors review before publish.

How to request song notes

  1. Search first. Check whether letter notes or sargam already exist. If they do, practice that page instead of posting a duplicate.
  2. Open the board at kpnotes.com/request-notes/.
  3. Sign in with your free KPNotes account (same email works in the app).
  4. Post a clear request — for example, “Kesariya — piano letter notes”. Add the movie or artist when you know it.
  5. Upvote a similar open request if one already matches what you need.

When notes publish, the song page shows who arranged them. You can also browse arrangers in the Contributors directory.

After you post

  • Open — waiting for someone to claim it.
  • Claimed — an arranger is working on it (about 14 days).
  • Fulfilled — notes are live; the arranger is credited on the song page.

Requests are always free. There are no cash rewards — contributors take part for credit, practice, and recognition.

Want to arrange a requested song?

If you play piano, harmonium, flute, or guitar and can write letter notes, sargam, or chords:

  1. Find an open request on the board.
  2. Claim it so others know you are working on it.
  3. Submit your notes before the claim window ends.
  4. After review and publish, you appear as Arranged by (and Solved by when you fulfilled that request).

Tips for clearer requests

  • Use the common song title people search for — not a long YouTube title.
  • Say the format: piano letters, sargam, or chords.
  • Add the movie or year if the song name is shared by many tracks.
  • Skip songs that already have a close match on the site — share that page instead.
